Short-Term Running Goals:

Doing a few more 1/2 marathons this year and continue to support new runners by running with them!

Personal:

Blessed to live in beautiful Fountain Hills, AZ during winter/spring months then in beautiful Idaho Falls, ID in the summer/fall months!  Thoroughly enjoy hiking, golfing, and running all year round (not into cold winter sports)! Married to Rob for 22 years ~ Two 19 year old college teens!

Haven't had a chance to run all week - Rob in Idaho, Isabelle was under the weather.  Did a lot of jump roping in the back yard!  Great run - 8.19 Pace...   Upper weights also!

Hiked Camelback with Rob and friends today - OMG, hardest hike I've ever done - it was awesome!  We spent the night at the Crowne Plaza Resort, had a great dinner.  Will be golfing 18 holes with our friends tomorrow!

Walked around the resort a little this morning with Rob, then had lunch and played 18 holes.  The course was pretty brutal but fun!

8.33 Pace!  My shin has been hurting ever since running up hill as fast as possible last Tues. while Remi rode his bike to PE.  We were a little late so I didn't have time to stretch before or after and don't usually run up that killer grade that fast! 

Unable to run the next two days due to kids testing in Phoenix, so I plan to give my shin a break! 

Upper weights also!

8.31 Pace - Shin is really hurting but once I start running, it subsides.  Went to chiro today for a tune-up, she recommended some creme from the health food store that I'll try on my shin splint and ankle!

Played 9-holes today after church with my family.  We walked instead of using a cart, yeah!  Did full body weights when I got home from Remington's baseball practice - busy full and FUN day...

Shin and ankle are feeling OK today, hopefully a morning run won't aggrivate them!

Slower pace today to really be able to concentrate on my run - 8:43 pace. Shin is definitely better and felt only a slight twinge in ankle, I think I'm finally on the mend thanks to your advice Jeff. Along with homeopathic cream on both shin and ankle non-stop, 24 hours of ibuprofin and no run for two days, the run was great.

Might bandage up my ankle for a strenueous hike tomorrow just to be sure!

Great run this morning - no ankle pain what-so-ever.  Family and guests were waiting for me for a hike when I got home so I walked another 4 miles after my run, I'm so happy to be on the mend.  I plan to do a longer run tomorrow...  8.31 pace today!
